We spent part of the afternoon on Thursday, March 5, 2009, birding at Lake Miramar while on the Lake Hodges and Kit Carson Park Trip (San Diego's Bird Festival). Lake Miramar has been created by a dam and is a drinking-water reservoir and recreational lake in San Diego, California. We observed this female Lesser Scaup at the reservoir. It was a partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the upper 60's.
